Composition:
Each ml contains:Spectinomycin base...............................100 mg.Lincomycin base ....................................50 mg.Solvents ad..............................................1 ml.
Indication:
It is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections, especially those caused by Gram-positive bacteria and some anaerobic bacteria. It is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections (such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinusitis), skin and soft tissue infections (like abscesses, cellulitis, and wound infections), and bone and joint infections (including osteomyelitis). Additionally, it is used to manage severe infections such as septicemia and endocarditis. In veterinary medicine, Lincomycin Injection 20% treats bacterial infections in livestock like cattle, swine, and poultry.
Dosage and administration:
For intramuscular or subcutaneous (poultry, turkeys) administration: Calves: 1 ml. per 10 kg body weight for 4 days.Goats and sheep: 1 ml. per 10 kg body weight for 3 days.Swine: 1 ml. per 10 kg body weight for 3 - 7 days. Cats and dogs: 1 ml. per 5 kg body weight for 3 - 5 days, not exceed 21 days.Poultry and turkeys : 0.5 ml. per 2.5 kg. body weight for 3 days.
Precautions:
1.Animals with known hypersensitivity to lincomycin or clindamycin should not receive this medication.
2.Use with caution in pregnant or lactating animals.
3.Use cautiously in animals with impaired renal or liver function, as drug metabolism and excretion may be affected.
4.Store it in a cool, dry place away from light and out of reach of children and animals. Withdrawal Period:
· For meat:Calves, goats, sheep and swine: 14 days.Poultry and turkeys: 7 days.· For milk: 3 days.
